Chapter 32: Chapter 32: What Did You Give Warmbao?

Chen Qiaoqin was feeding Yu Nuan Nuan some malted milk, while Yu Hai quickly picked the remaining strawberries and put them into the basket on his back.

Aside from the leaves lining the bottom of the basket, there were still quite a few strawberry leaves left.

Since the house was full of people, it wasn’t convenient to take them out right now, so Yu Hai simply bundled them up and stuffed them into a bag, planning to find a chance to throw them out later.

Just as he finished tidying up, someone knocked on the door.

Yu Hai and Chen Qiaoqin were both startled. Before they could ask who it was, they heard Xu Shuhua’s voice.

Yu Hai answered and hurried to open the door.

Xu Shuhua didn’t come in. She just glanced at Yu Hai, then turned and headed toward the main room.

The whole family sat down for breakfast. Xu Shuhua shared her plans for the day: “After breakfast, Qiaoqin, you stay home and watch the kids. I need to go into town for something. The rest of you go work in the fields and try to bring in the grain as soon as possible. Wei, keep an eye on your brothers. If you do a good job, Grandma will buy you a treat later.”

Yu Wei still had a few fruit candies in his pocket, but his eyes lit up at her words. “Don’t worry, Grandma, I’ll take good care of my brothers!”

Yu Zhenmin had thought Xu Shuhua was joking last night, but now she was really heading into town.

“No, I need to go into town for something. Don’t worry about leaving Daibao here—Qiaoqin will look after him well.”

“Okay! Got it! Take care, Auntie!”

After watching Xu Shuhua leave with the basket, Qin Yuelan led Gu Mo inside. “Qiaoqin, I’ll leave Daibao here again today, alright?”

“Of course, don’t worry, just go take care of your errands!”

After Qin Yuelan left, Gu Mo sat up straight. “I want strawberries!”
