Chapter 72: Chapter 72

I Farm and Plant Trees in the Global Game

So, in theory, anyone who could make bread in real life could easily use cooking magic to make bread.

With enough practice, you could even multitask while your cooking magic worked.

With Rosie’s detailed explanations, Muying quickly grasped the key points and began to experiment.

She knew a lot of recipes, but for her first try, Muying chose something simple: hotpot.

Senior Rosie helped her gather the ingredients she needed, and Muying pictured in her mind how everything should look once prepared.

She didn’t need to visualize every step—just a general impression—but she had to be clear about the final result.

After a few tries, she successfully made both a spicy beef tallow broth and a bone broth, tasting just like her favorite hotpot place before the apocalypse.

When word got out that she was cooking, Senior Lucia caught a silver fish from the lake to show her support.

Muying thought the most magical thing about cooking magic was how subjective it was—you could instantly debone a fish just by imagining it.

She also recreated thinly sliced fish and beef rolls.

“Thank you all for taking care of us these past days—cheers!”

Muying raised her juice glass. As someone who couldn’t hold her liquor, this was the best she could do.

Everyone else had wine, courtesy of Senior Leni.

“Whew, this spicy broth is amazing! I love it!”

“Me too,” Lilian said, so busy cooling her mouth that she barely touched her wine.

“The clear broth is even tastier—veggies are best cooked in it!”

After trying the spicy broth once, Leni and Windsor became staunch supporters of the clear broth.

The other three switched back and forth, enjoying both types.

“Muying, you really have a talent for cooking. This hotpot is simple but delicious—we’re in for a treat,” Senior Rosie praised, never one to hold back on compliments.

“Ahem, I heard someone used their cauldron to cook food before ever brewing a potion?”

At some point, Headmistress Melani appeared, speaking in a low, amused voice.

“Headmistress! Everyone else is here—where’d you hear that?”

Melani didn’t bother responding to the clueless Red Witch.

Leni, at a loss for words, stuffed a piece of cabbage into Margarita’s mouth. “Headmistress, we’ve just started eating. You came at the perfect time—try some of Muying’s new dishes, all made with cooking magic!”

Melani finally nodded. “Hmm, it does smell delicious…”"

"【Do you wish to consume 503 Source Energy to transform: Green Witch Bloodline (Unique, Exclusive), Broomgrass Seeds x2, Staff Material x1?】

“Yes!”

At last, she could leave the trial world with the thing she’d been longing for!

As soon as Muying’s consciousness returned, she felt a sensation both familiar and strange—similar to when she was first infused with magic, but also somehow different.

【You have integrated the exclusive Green Witch bloodline. Race changed to Green Witch. Charisma +3.】

【Your Green Witch bloodline is highly compatible with your existing Elf bloodline, accelerating the purification of your Wood Elf bloodline. Your race has changed from Half-Elf to Elf. Agility +2, Charisma +1, Constitution -1.】

【As a Green Witch, you have gained racial skills: 1. Magic (Mana Infusion, Cooking Magic); 2. Alchemy (Wand Crafting, Flying Broom Crafting); 3. Potion-making (not yet acquired); 4. Herb Cultivation (Broomgrass Cultivation).】

【As an Elf, you have gained racial skills: 1. Darkvision (see in darkness); 2. Sword Mastery; 3. Archery Mastery.】

【Your Human bloodline has disappeared due to your Green Witch and Elf bloodlines.】

【As a Green Witch, your lifespan has increased by 300 years.】

【As an Elf, your lifespan has increased by 700 years.】

The changes were almost as dramatic as when she first entered the game.

Muying read through the notifications, growing more and more astonished. Her Charisma stat had jumped by 4 points, reaching 15—now her second-highest attribute.

Agility had also increased by 2 points.

Compared to that, losing 1 point of Constitution was acceptable.

This time, the stat increases happened in sync with the bloodline fusion, so she didn’t feel much physically.

She was already familiar with the Green Witch racial skills—those were the ones she’d learned in the trial world. But the Elf racial skills truly surprised her.

There’s a 2nd-level Druid spell called Darkvision, which has a similar effect to the Elf racial skill, but the skill requires no resources and is always active.

Sword and Archery Mastery were also very practical. Rangers and Warriors could learn these skills too, but they started at the basic level and had to train hard to reach mastery. Muying’s starting point was even higher than theirs.

All of this was great—but trouble came along with it.

Muying looked down at the little figurine, Shiyin, sitting on her shoulder playing with her hair. Thanks to Darkvision, she could see clearly: that lock of hair was still curly, but now tinged with a deep emerald green.

It was exactly the same color as her hair in the Emerald World.

She walked over to the dressing mirror, and sure enough, her appearance had changed.

Her eyes were now the color of emeralds, her waist-length hair a dark green, her skin a shade paler than before—so smooth you couldn’t even see her pores. She was taller, her figure more slender.

Lifting her hair, she saw her ears had grown a bit pointier—not as exaggerated as the elves in monster manuals, but definitely no longer the round ears she used to have.

Her facial features hadn’t changed much—she still looked like herself, just a bit more youthful, as if she’d become several years younger. But her aura had shifted dramatically. Where she’d once been a pretty girl, now she had the mysterious, natural beauty of a great enchantress.

So, good looks don’t always mean high Charisma, but high Charisma definitely means good looks?

And just like that, her Human bloodline was squeezed out?

“How am I supposed to go out tomorrow?!”

Muying wailed.

Even if she learned to brew a hair-dyeing potion and managed to use it, it would take time, and the Source Energy cost was unpredictable.

Besides, there was no potion to change eye color. Green eyes were rare among humans in the Emerald World, but not unheard of—no witch ever bothered to hide it.

And her slightly pointed ears—there was no way to change those.

Oh well. Is anyone really going to force me to explain?
